Quick answer: Carnival FunPacks bundle drinks, Wi-Fi, and extras like specialty dining and shore excursions for $25 to $99 per person, per day. You can only buy them through Oct. 30, 2026, for sailings from Oct. 31, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027. If you'd buy a drink package and Wi-Fi anyway, it's worth pricing one out this week.
What are Carnival FunPacks?
Carnival announced FunPacks on Oct. 14, 2026, replacing its older Value packages (Carnival News). Carnival says they save 35% to 55% versus buying items separately, based on a 6-day cruise.
| FunPack | Price per person, per day | Who can buy | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kidstarter | $25 | Ages 3 to 17 | Unlimited soda and juice, Social Wi-Fi, 1,000 arcade tokens, 50% off bulk candy |
| Zero Proof | $50 | Ages 3 and up | Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, Value Wi-Fi, $50 excursion discount, $25 dining discount |
| Social | $60 | Ages 21 and up | 3 alcoholic drinks a day, unlimited non-alcoholic, Premium Wi-Fi, 1 excursion (up to $100), 1 specialty dinner (up to $55), 50% off spa and photos |
| Epic | $99 | Ages 21 and up | Up to 15 alcoholic drinks a day, Premium Wi-Fi, 2 excursions, 2 specialty dinners, 50% off spa and photos, sparkling wine, laundry |
The Social FunPack is the new one to watch. Its drink option, CHEERS! Social, isn't sold any other way.
Why is everyone talking about them right now?
First, the sale window is short, Oct. 13 through Oct. 30, 2026, online only through My Cruise Manager.
Second, starting Dec. 1, 2026, Carnival's regular drink packages and Wi-Fi plans move to dynamic pricing, varying by sailing length, itinerary, and season. Carnival hasn't published those new prices. A FunPack bought now sets a flat daily rate, even for a sailing in late 2027.

Who should buy a FunPack, and who should skip it?
A FunPack makes sense if you:
- Planned on drinks and Wi-Fi anyway, and want an excursion or specialty dinner too.
- Like a few cocktails a day, not fifteen. The Social FunPack covers three.
- Have kids who'd want sodas and social media access anyway.
Skip it if you'd rather pay as you go, or if the other adult in your cabin doesn't want the same package. Every guest 21 or older in a cabin has to buy the same FunPack.
What's the fine print I should know?
From Carnival's terms:
- You pay for every day of the cruise, per person.
- Book your extras before you sail. Excursions, dinners, spa, and photo benefits must be reserved at least three days before departure. They can't be added on board.
- Unused value is gone. Use a $55 dinner credit on a $40 dinner and the $15 is forfeited.
- Galveston is priced differently. From Galveston, New York, and Norfolk, alcohol benefits start at 6 a.m. on day two, so Social and Epic prices are adjusted. That matters for Kansas cruisers driving to Galveston.
FAQ
Can I still buy a Carnival FunPack after Oct. 30, 2026?
Not under the current offer. Carnival's terms say FunPacks must be bought online through My Cruise Manager between Oct. 13 and Oct. 30, 2026, for sailings departing Oct. 31, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027. They can't be bought on board.
Do both adults in our cabin have to buy the same FunPack?
Yes. If any guest 21 or older buys a FunPack, every guest 21 or older in that stateroom must buy the same one. Guests under 21 can add a Kidstarter or Zero Proof FunPack but aren't required to. Linked cabins can choose differently.
I already have Carnival's Essentials or Ultimate package. Will it switch over?
No. Your existing package stays on your booking unless you cancel it. To switch, you'd cancel it and buy a FunPack before the deadline. Any dining or excursion reservations tied to the old package may be canceled too, so check availability first.
What changes with Carnival drink package prices on Dec. 1, 2026?
Carnival says beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans will move to dynamic pricing, with prices varying by sailing length, itinerary, and season. It hasn't published the new prices yet. FunPacks bought now are priced at a flat daily rate shown in My Cruise Manager.
