Meet Jay

How did Jay get into travel?

Jay has worked in travel since 2000. He met Becca in 1999 while he was on a temporary assignment in Kansas, and they married in 2002 and honeymooned on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas.

The two of them worked side by side at Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises' call center. Back in Kansas, Becca spotted an opening for an advisor at a local agency. Jay applied and was hired, and Becca joined him a few months later.

In 2009, Jay and Becca opened The Travel Junkie. For the first two years it was just the two of them, planning trips while still working day jobs. When they went all in, Jay joined the local chamber of commerce and Business Networking International and set out to "make it rain." His networking is what built the agency's name in its early years, while Becca ran things behind the scenes.

Today The Travel Junkie is a woman-owned, veteran-owned agency with a team of Travel Pros behind it. Jay and Becca have attended travel industry events for about 20 years.

Client reviews

What do Jay's clients say?

"Jay recommended an all-inclusive resort, El Dorado Royale, when I told him that Rico and I wanted a one week vacation. The pick up arrangements from the airport was efficient and prompt. The resort was just what we needed. We took advantage of the restaurants, the pool and the stroll on the beach. We will surely contact Jay again for our next vacation plans."
